Our Packaging

All packaging utilised by Rafters Food Services will be either compostable, recyclable or reusable. Since 2019 we have discontinued the use of single use plastics. There are no single use plastics engaged in with the production of our school meals.

Our Kitchen

Our state-of-the-art facility was built in 2023. This allowed us to fit out the production kitchen with new refrigeration and freezers bearing an A rating. Our convection and combi ovens also bear an A rating. We have installed low flow pre rinse sprayers on our dishwasher, reducing water consumption by 60%.

Staff Sustainability Training

Our team of people undergo a training programme on Sustainability in the workplace upon commencement with the company. This cultivates a culture where social and environmental responsibility are part of everyday thinking and has led to sustainable decision making across all departments.
